do you want a drink?

emma: wow there are some really hot girls at this concert.
me: you should go chat some up.. i bet they'd appreciate it..
emma: haha this reminds me of this one time!
me: what happened?
emma: so i was at this festival and i was getting a drink and this girl came up and i was like "hey can i buy you a drink?" and she was like "i'm not gay." and walked away.
me: *laughing my head off while all the annoying hipsters give me dirty looks*

bishop allen concert

was good fun.
i got there late because i was finishing watching "the visitor" (which is a spectacular movie that you all should watch)
i got there during the 2 opener, electric owls, who was okay, but i don't think i'd listen to his stuff very often.
i talked to my stalkee and found out he has a girlfriend (who i'm going to call airhead because she's a total dumbass.. can you say turn-off??) but his friend (who is also taken, but i'm okay with that) is AWESOME! i talked to him a bunch, and he's a total spaz, but he's spectacular!
an horse is really good, they were the main opener, and i would listen to them again if someone gave me their cd..

bishop allen was really good. i was right at the front next to the bassist, keith, and everyone was singing along and have a jolly old time. it was totally packed so i was really lucky to be at the front with my friend emma :) at the end of the show i got keith's set list though i'm kind of sad it doesn't have the encore songs on it..
my stalkee and his friend and girlfriend were stuck at the very back, and i didn't see them again until after the concert was over and they said they liked bishop allen, but they liked the first opener the best (congrats drew danburry!) and we got his cd.

my master plan!!

winter's (school dance) is coming up on december 6 and it's girl's choice.. if you're wondering who i'm going to ask you're a dumbass (though you can be excused from the dumbass-ness if you haven't read any previous entries)
well i'll tell you who anyway. my stalkee.
so if you don't already know, we have almost the exact taste in music, and although i haven't asked him yet, i'm going to assume he loves bishop allen.
there is a bishop allen concert coming up on november 14 (that's about 3 weeks before winters for those too lazy to do math) and i was going to ask him (tomorrow to be exact) if he was planning on going.
if he can go then i was going to go too and ask the band before they go on stage to say "on behalf of (insert my name here) we would like to ask (insert stalkee here) to winter's on december 6"
i know it's totally cheesy and it sounds like it should be a bad teen movie, but i think it's still quite spectacular.
and if he can't go then i was going to film them saying that and play it over all the school intercoms/tvs.
i'm brilliant.
i hope i don't chicken out, and either just ask him to his face or not ask him at all. i don't think my friends would let me do that.

fleet foxes

yesterday was really fun. i hung out with my friend from elementary school that i hadn't seen in months, and we went to the mall and coffee and just hung around pretty much all day.

when we got the venue of the concert, there was a line all the way around the corner. it was very long. luckily they let ladies in first, so my friend and i hardly had to wait :) judging by the line, you knew the place was going to be crowded, but it was way more crowded than i expected, and everyone was like 30-something so it was fun being like the youngest one there. we looked around for my stalkee for awhile, but we didn't see him so we gave up. we sat up on this table (which just happened to have an amazing view of the stage) and got away from the crowd. there was this chick who came over and she was either like totally drunk or extremely stoned and she was like falling over and yelling and singing the wrong songs while the band was playing and shit. i was ready to punch her. after every song she would like scream-cheer at the top of her lungs, and one of the songs it went on forever, so the band couldn't even start playing again. it sucked. oh and she kept falling over on me. gr...

the band had a lot of energy and they were really into the music, and playing games with audience (guess the song from the first chord) and just seeing them on stage was really fun.

so all in all, i'd have to say the concert was pretty fun, but not as fun as i'd hoped. hey at least i'll have something to talk to my stalkee about on tuesday :P

actually i take it back. it was an amazing concert :)
